Complete Roof Replacement in Brisbane, QLD

Brisbane’s climate is demanding. Intense UV, heavy summer storms, and high humidity accelerate ageing in older metal, terracotta tile, concrete tile, and fibro asbestos roofs. When a roof reaches the end of its serviceable life, a full replacement is often the most cost-effective solution available.

Sykes Roofing is a specialist reroofing business, using Colorbond BlueScope steel on every project. Every job is a complete replacement: old roofing material is removed, battens are replaced where required, new Colorbond sheets are installed, and the site is fully cleaned before the team leaves.

Roof types commonly replaced include corrugated iron and old tin metal roofs, concrete and terracotta tile roofs converted to Colorbond steel, and fibro asbestos roofs removed under full licensing and replaced with Colorbond. Sykes Roofing does not offer partial repairs, tile restorations, or standalone inspection services.

What to Expect From Your Reroof

Most Sykes Roofing reroofs are completed in a single day, with the new roof 100% waterproofed on day one. Here is what the typical process looks like:

First, contact Sykes Roofing via phone or the contact page and Mark will arrange a site visit and provide a written quote within 48 hours. Sykes Roofing can advise on the building approval steps for your project. On the day, the existing roof is safely removed and all waste taken off-site, with asbestos removal following strict WH&S protocols. Battens replaced where required as part of the reroof. Finally, new Colorbond BlueScope steel is installed, guttering replaced, insulation fitted, and all trimmings and downpipes completed to a clean finish.

Companion Services Included With Every Reroof

Guttering. Full guttering replacement is available as part of every reroofing project. New Colorbond gutters and downpipes are matched to your new roof and sized to manage Brisbane's heavy summer rainfall. See the guttering page for more detail.

Insulation. Rhino Earthwool blanket insulation is installed beneath every new Colorbond roof as a standard inclusion, reducing summer heat transfer and improving year-round comfort. More information is on the insulation page.

Both services are companion offerings only and are not available as standalone work outside of a full reroof project.
